Samsung acquired SmartThings last year, and the new Samsung SmartThings Hub ($99) offers several improvements over the original model, including a more powerful processor with video camera support, a battery backup, and USB and Bluetooth connectivity. We griped about its lack of camera support, but that didn't prevent it from earning our Editors' Choice award for home automation hubs.
